The day-long event featured competitions in feature writing, photography, photo essays and filmmaking, with participants from multiple colleges and universities across Jammu and Kashmir, organisers told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Speaking on the occasion, the Principal stressed the importance of media education in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. “In the age of digital transformation, media education is not just about producing content but shaping thought, sparking dialogue and building responsible storytellers,” he said. A jury of experts also evaluated entries across four main competition categories. In the feature writing competition, Aafreen Bashir and Hafsa Hamid of GDC Baramulla secured first place, while Ishfaq Rashid Bhat of Central University of Kashmir won the top prize in photography.
